Unlike most nurseries, whereby children tend to stay in one area/room most of the day, children at Tiny Toes are in small groups with their key carer and move around the nursery according to a structured time table of activities except for babies.
Babies develop in individual ways with their own characteristics and temperaments. At Tiny Toes we provide a warm sensitive caring approach to help build secure and happy children. A key carer helps the baby become settled, confident and to feel safe and is sensitive to the baby’s feelings and behaviour. Babies have their own baby unit with private access to Tiny Toes garden. The baby unit is planned so that sensory exploration is linked to their immediate environment and most of all, to ensure that babies feel safe and loved.
Tiny Toes has been designed to cater for all children including those who are disabled or have special educational needs enabling freedom for children to access resources. Our staff have training and experience in this area and work together with parents as partners and any outside professionals to ensure the best care possible for children.
Toddlers are in small groups and move around the nursery with their key carer enjoying the various activities. Extensive resources are available and are easily accessible to provide opportunities indoors and outdoors to enhance imaginative play and communication skills. Children grow in confidence as their sense of exploration, expression and awareness of others develops in a caring and safe environment.
Tiny Toes provides first class pre-school education for children aged between two and a half and five years. We have an exceptional reception/early years teacher who has a wealth of experience in this area. She is totally dedicated to constantly improve and excel in early years education. The early years are critical and children have every chance to develop positive attitudes towards learning. We provide children with materials and activities especially suited to their needs at each stage of development. Clear and accessible records are kept with parents’ views and comments reflected in them. To mark the final stage of pre-school we have Tiny Toes Graduation Day. This is a much loved event by all.
Children up to 8 years of age can join our after-school club enjoying the various fun activities. Many vital resources such as computers are available to help and support completing homework from school.
Children up to 8 years of age can join our holiday club and benefit from stimulating and fun activities. They can participate in the Tiny Toes Academies that provide varied opportunities to enhance skills, extend knowledge and most of all have fun.
