The activities we offer at Tiny Toes are stimulating and challenging with opportunities for exploration and discovery. We provide many activities for all ages, some of which are listed
Creativity involves children initiating their own learning and becoming absorbed in action, exploration, expression and decision making. There is a library with lots of interesting books. Mock Post Office and letter box for those first letters. Drawing, painting, cutting and sticking. Jigsaws, games, clay and plasticine modelling. Cookery. Gardening. Water play. Sandpit. Imaginative play, dance, music, design and art. And much, much more.
Music plays an important part in Nursery life. It is about children’s independent and guided exploration of sound, movement and music. It provides opportunities for children with hearing impairment to experience sound through physical contact with instruments and other sources of sound. The children can listen to and play the piano, percussion and simple woodwind instruments. There are drama classes, dancing lessons, tumble tots, trampoline, singing and sound games. Tiny Toes Dancing and Singing Academies are great fun with end of year certificates to acknowledge participation, effort and achievement.
French and Italian are introduced in a gentle form at Tiny Toes. Simple words are displayed around the Nursery in English, French and Italian and these are reinforced by the staff. English, French and Italian songs are taught and children gain an enjoyable introduction to other languages.
This large room is completely fitted with PVC padding with a large ball pool and adventure playground, crawl-through tunnels and slides all providing lots of fun. This is a necessary feature of a modern day nursery and the great British weather!
At Tiny Toes outdoor play is an important part of the daily routine. There is security soft matting on the floor for child safety and protection. We have a wendy house, gazebo, water and sand, small climbing frame, bicycles, trucks, tents and many items for sports activities. There is a flower and vegetable garden which helps promote environmental awareness and establishes a practical link between nature and food. All children are encouraged to participate in gardening.

Early written and mathematical skills on computer are taught in an interesting and fun way enabling children to gain confidence and independence in this important area. We have a Tiny Toes Information Technology Academy and children from the age of three are encouraged to join. Certificates are awarded to reward participation and achievement.
